Today in Cologne, Germany, Pradox announced their next big release. It will be Victoria 2, sequel to 19th century grand strategy game. Victoria is dream of strategy gamer, taking best from other Paradox game combining it into well balanced mix of diplomacy, politics, economy and warfare. It is scheduled on 2010.

Paradox announced their third expansion for Europa Universalis 3 game called Heir to the Throne. Little is known about this one yet, only that it should hit us on December 2009.

It's here, Hearts of Iron 3 was just released. You can download it from GamersGate, if you pre-ordered your copy should be on the way if you don't have it yet. Alongside with the release, official website was lauchned. And day 0 patch is also available, 1.1.

Hearts of Iron 3 demo is now available for download. You can find mirrors hosting it on PI forums.

On 31st July Lothos posted his review of Hearts of Iron 3. You can read it here and if you are Hearts of Iron veteran, you'll certainly find it good source of information.

Eagerly awaited Paradox title Hearts of Iron 3 just went gold. Third installment of highly acclaimed World War II grand strategy game is born. It'll be available in stores from August 7, also as digital download. You can already pre-order the game.

In thirteenth installment of Hearts of Iron 3 development diary is consulted the way internal politics work, how it affects cabinet and also abandoned domestic policy changes, replaced by EU3-like "mission" system.

Yesterday was a big day for Hearts of Iron 2 players since Armageddon received yet another patch. It contains many important fixes and interesting changes, among others reworked spy system. You can download it here.

Since last Hearts of Iron 3 development diary published last year, Paradox released another two articles of this series. 11th diary article from 7th January talks about new intelligence system, which will make it less ad-hoc system and transform the game into real strategic experience also on intelligence field. 12th article is no less interesting. It talks about political/diplomatic system, which to some extent resembles HoI1 system, but similar to intelligence, it makes it less ad-hoc and more systematic and also realistic process. It all looks very exciting.

Today Johan uncovered something from their plans on how to improve game's naval system as we know it from Hearts of Iron 2. In HoI3 it'll be all moddable, ship classes won't be all that generic accross different nations and there will be improvements in mission system too. You can read about it in more detail here.
