What will Hearts of Iron 3 logistics look like is briefly described by Johan in Development Diary #9 from 10th of December. There won't be any TC (Transport Capacity) as we know if from Hearts of Iron 2, but supply capability of each province based on its infrastructure, distance from supply depot (or capital) and available technology. This will also mean, that number of untis you can suppy in single province will be finite, contrary to HoI2 system. It's very exciting and looks like Swedish guys are doing their job well.

On Wednesday Johan of Paradox published another part of Hearts of Iron 3 Development Diary series. Eight one talks about land units and command structure as it will be implemented in a new game. Not much as been told, but it looks like it is going in the right direction. After all, you can see and read it yourself.

November was quite eventful at Paradox. Vae Victis, an expansion for EU: Rome was released on 19th November. It promises streamlined user interface, improved depth of historical characters, revamped military AI and more. It is sold through GamesGate for €10. On 27th November second version of beta patch 3.2 for Europa Universalis III was released to the public. It fixes In Nomine expansion, not the original game. Last but not least, series of development diaries were publised by Johan about Hearts of Iron 3. The game looks very promissing, introducing many features requested by people from the forum.

After first alpha screenshots came more descriptive first release of Hearts of Iron 3 development diaries. It contains another screenshot of map and few words from Johan Andersson about how they approach creation of it. It certainly looks very interesting and makes sense.

Early this month Paradox disclosed first alpha screenshots of their next title Hearts of Iron 3. It doesn't show much, but the map looks nice from the distance, worse when you close in. It's still too early though and what's most important is not the map, but the game itself.

Today Paradox released patch for Europa Universalis III: In Nomine with number 3.1. It fixes numerous bugs and introduces some new things as spy actions and such. You can see full list of changes here.

For later half of Q4 2008 Paradox prepares expansion of their so far latest title EU: Rome. Name of expansion, which is going to be distributed digitally via GamersGate, is Vae Victis. It'll retail for €9.99. Read more.

Paradox Interactive announced earlier this month their intention to release bundle of their award winning game Europa Universalis III, called Europa Universalis III: Complete. First trailer showing some of Hearts of Iron 3 was published at http://www.gamer.no/videoer/6056 (mirror). Not much can be seen there, but map seems nicely 2D just as it should be in game of this kind. For the rest it's not possible to judge even remotely. Game is schedule for third quarter of 2009 which means it's about year until release. Plenty of time yet.
