MontyP has made this promising converter which converts Victoria savegame to Hearts of Iron 2 save, so you can play your Victorian empire in setting of WWII. A Vic savegame file from any year can be converted, but the start year in the converted game will always be 1936. The converter does not convert wars and controlled provinces held during wars. Games converted should be late games (around 1920) from Vic as the converter converts things as they are in the save game file, not how they later on can become.

Right now the converter converts:

• Manpower
• Province manpower
• Resources
• Land units
• Naval units
• Transports (convoys)
• Policy
• Belligerence
• Alliances
• Technology
• IC
• Infrastructure
• Airbases

All countries from Vic to HOI2 are in, and all provinces are converted.

Naval bases are added through the file "bases.txt" as it's very hard to do it any other way.
